The expert
I chose my friend Shanice Gamble to be my expert. I wanted to focus on the mysteries of the sea. I know for a fact she watches conspiracy videos and true crime documentaries daily. So I figured she knew some theories or stories about the ocean. i wanted the story to follow along the mysteries of the ocean and the wild theories that can be created from it.
Tools
The razor tool as shown in the Mike Russell YouTube video " Move, Razor, Slip and time selection tools in adobe audition" was a very useful tool when trimming down this 5 minute interview into a 20 second clip. it made it so i could cut and move around parts i needed out of the whole interview. the loop option was also helpful to really get only the parts i wanted and for it to sound smooth.
Story Arch
I'm going to start with the question what lives in the sea/what do we know about the sea. and talk about how it is one of the most mysterious parts of this planet. then transition to the on the street interviews about what lives on the bottom and if they find it scary. I will then go to my expert talking about her theory that scientist have dispersed genetically modify creatures into the deep sea and her theory on the Bermuda triangle. I will conclude with the person on the street responses to if they would travel to the bottom of the ocean or not.
