Blog 4: final Audio Story

Mysteries of The Sea I wanted to make an audio story about the mysteries of the sea and what people know about it. I found the ocean interesting because it is a big part of the planet and yet very little of it has been explored. Only about 5% of the ocean is charted and studied so far which leaves room for a lot of  mysteries Due to these mysteries humans have created there own explanations in the form of conspiracy theories. they range from the loch ness monster to the lost city of Atlantis. to explore these as well as what the average person thinks of the sea was very interesting to do. Audition Audition was very interesting to learn. it has very mechanics that are tricky at first like and others that are simple and concrete like the razer and loop tools. Overall the experience learning audition was very useful and a little fun to do.  vishawn · Mysteries Of The Sea

My audio story the theme of my audio story is the ocean and some of it's mysteries. it follows me asking strangers questions about the ocean and then my expert explaining 2 theories about the ocean that she knows. it will end with the question of whether the theories can be taken seriously once only 5% of the ocean has been studied and charted. I want it to focus on how the ocean is wildly unknown and that since it is unknown people tend to come to there own conclusions about it. some of the conclusions even becoming widespread theories that are accepted and some to the point where they hold it as fact are still just theories. no matter what we can say or what we believe is down there, there is no certainty to it tools . I used the loop and razor tool again which is the easiest way to cut and arrange the different audios together. I also used the dial for volume on the tool bar on track to change the volume for the whole track.4. identifying noise visually helped me distinguish w...

The expert  I chose my friend Shanice Gamble to be my expert. I wanted to focus on the mysteries of the sea. I know for a fact she watches conspiracy videos and true crime documentaries daily. So I figured she knew some theories or stories about the ocean. i wanted the story to follow along the mysteries of the ocean and the wild theories that can be created from it. Tools The razor tool as shown in the Mike Russell YouTube video " Move, Razor, Slip and time selection tools in adobe audition" was a very useful tool when trimming down this 5 minute interview into a 20 second clip. it made it so i could cut and move around parts i needed out of the whole interview. the loop option was also helpful to really get only the parts i wanted and for it to sound smooth. Story Arch I'm going to start with the question what lives in the sea/what do we know about the sea. and talk about how it is one of the most mysterious parts of this planet. then transition to the on the street i...
